Alquézar is the starting point of Avalanche’s activities in the Sierra de Guara. Here are the directions to get there without complications.
From Madrid, Zaragoza and Huesca
To get to the Avalancha offices by road once you arrive in Huesca, you must take the N-240 towards Barbastro/ Lérida.
After the village of Angues, continue until you cross a bridge over the Alcanadre River. A sign announcing “Alquezar” indicates the detour to the left.
Almost in the village, there is a roundabout and another sign. We must follow the address “Residents”. You will see us at the entrance of the village in a shop with a large glass window.
Calculate about 50 min. from Huesca to Alquezar.
From Valencia, Barcelona and Lleida
Once in Lleida, we take the N-240 until we reach Barbastro. You must pass the first entrance to the city and continue along the national road, until you pass the Regional Hospital, a large building that will appear on your left.
Once you have passed the Hospital, the last entrance to Barbastro appears, which is the one you will have to take. At the same roundabout where we are, the sign for Alquezar appears. Calculate about 20 min. from here.
